Road Trip Report

We had such a refreshing trip back home. Stress was low and company was great! Raquel was a real trooper in the car. We could drive hours before stopping. In fact we made it home in 15 hours. Stopping only for gas and dinner! We passed the hours by signing, listening to books on tape, talking about what we saw and making funny faces at each other. Every day was full with visits.
We saw Grandma Joanie. When visiting Raquel some how managed to throw three potted ceramic pots over the 2 story balcony. I discovered her after hearing her yell "Wee" followed by a clap. I just laughed and was thankful no one below was hurt!
Visited my parents. Played alot in the garden. I love the way fresh dirt feels on your feet. Dad and Tyson threw me a belated birthday with presents and cake. After we let go ballons and watched them fly away.
Crystal meet us up for some shopping and dinner. (I finally bought nightstands. Red ones to. I thought the color would be cheerful. I want to put Audrey's memory box in there and not under my bed)
All day wed we spent with my long time friend Estelle and her daughter Frances. This was my high light of the trip! She was down from Alaska visiting her family and I was lucky enough to see her. We went down the Oregon George and visited the fish farm, chatted alot and ate ice cream at the park. I love that we just pick up where we left off. I forgot how much I miss her!
Thursday morning I meet up with my cousin Jen and we visited Grandma. She had put out a fun tea set for Raquel to play with. My Grandma is amazing. She is 86 and always on the go. We visited over veggies and cookies. Raquel wanted Great Grandma to come with us. But sadly we had to go. Friday we spent with Jen. Aunt Tammy watch Raquel so I could go have a girls night with Jen. I laughed a lot and it was good to be with Jen again.
Saturday we braved the zoo. Raquel loved the aquarium the best. We finished it off we a carousal ride. Raquel laughed and shouted out YEEHAW!
Over all we just visited a lot. It was truly refreshing and worth the 30 plus hours of driving!
