Christmas

Christmas this year was intentionally simple. Nutcracker went by fast and was much smoother than last year. Raquel was a mouse who tripped the soldiers and caught the fallen mouse after she was shot. She hit all her marks. We saw Santa. Santa took his sweet time to chat with Raquel. Adaline was okay till she sat in his lap. And even than it was a fake, unsure cry. We had cold weather come and the Rushtons came to "skate" in front of the house.

Adaline

This little gem is all toddler. She is spunky, fearless, loving, curious and often destructive. Always has me or someone on their toes.
She just discovered her binky was "broken" and thankfully still naps for me!
Anything outdoors is her dream. She loves to swing, rides in Dad's truck, Monsters and swimming. Her attention span is getting better and finding trouble has been less of a problem. Sentences are getting better and we are beginning to work on colors and numbers. She is on the petite side. She is wearing a size 6 shoe where her sister Raquel was in a 8 by now. 24 months clothes fit her better than 2t. Wispy hair that is wild all the time. All love her and her mischievous ways.

Baby #4

We found out we were expecting baby#4 in September. She will be arriving in April. All is well. She is a wiggly baby and the morning sickness was mostly in the evenings. I have felt a lot of anxiety and this uncontrollable need to eat. The excessive but needed doctor appointments don't help. I am ready to have a healthy baby and move on as a family and close the chapter of having more kids.
The biggest challenge is picking a name for her...

Loosing Teeth

Raquel lost her first tooth at the beginning of the school year (September 2014). It was her bottom tooth. We tried many ways to pull it out. We finally decided to ties floss around the tooth and tie it to the front door. We left the front door open knowing that Adaline would see it and come running up to it and slam it shut. She likes closing doors. Well, she did. Raquel screamed out of nerves but not tooth fell out! Adaline cried as she thought she hurt her sister. It was dramatic. I went to help calm Raquel and remove the string from the door. As I was removing the string the tooth popped out!
It was a funny experience and I took several videos trying to capture the actually moment and we never got it.
The next tooth Raquel lost was when we were on vacation in Hawaii. She noted that her tooth was loose and was wiggling it a lot. Dad tried to convince her to let him pull it. I think now that she has experienced loosing a tooth she was a lot more afraid or anticipated pain and wouldn't let anyone touch it. She pulled it herself. Left it in the glove box and the tooth fairy may a day visit and left her 5 bucks for her vacation shopping!

Adaline Swiming

Adaline has been in swim classes twice a week since September with Mrs. Barrett Bonds. It is amazing to see a two year old learn how to swim. She loves to "swim" out from the wall and back. Not so much jumping into the pool. She has gained more confidence over time to do things on her own.
