Off to School

Raquel is now a full time kindergartener. She goes to school at Emerson and her teachers name is Ms. Shaw. Longs days have left her wanting to just play daily past bedtime. She has been a real sport waking up at 6:50. Me not so much as if I want to get my health on I have to wake up at 5:30 am. Ugh.
First day of classes she reluctantly held my hand. I told her she didn't have to and she removed her hand from mine. Sad! But I am proud that she is brave and was confident she could do it on her own. She sat in her seat and just started at all those around her. Daily she asks me if I have missed her and she reassures me we will have plenty of play time after school.
She is reading a grade level ahead and if she continues to progress she will quality for the public advance school. As much as we want her to succeed I want her to reach her best and have a healthy competition.
Raquel is continuing ballet and is in ballet 1 this year. She has audition for the Nutcracker and will have a costume recital this year. She loves to dance!
