Sick Little Girl

Late Friday night Bells started with a fever. I was not to worried. I checked her tick bite and it was not infected. The fever continued through the night and kept us awake. She surprisingly woke up happy and seemed to be feeling better. We went on with our day. By lunch she started to slow and feel bad again. This time came on quick, belly ache, headache and fever.  I thought I should err on the cautious side and take her to the clinic since this could be caused from the tick. I was a bit worried (and emotional, I blame that on the pregnancy. Really I was kinda paniced) The crazy thing about this small town is where do you go? An hour and half to the ER or call 911. Yep, crazy as it sounds I called 911! Now I did this because this is the way you get a hold of the local clinic, that is closed early on saturday. It seemed odd and extreme, but I found a little humor in it. We meet up with the doctor who reassured us that this was a virus that was not connected to the tick. Whew.
We stopped at the store loaded up on juice and chicken broth. Bells fever was on the higher end 102.8 and was tired and was saying some silly things.

In the car she began to cry. I asked Bells why are you crying? She replied sobbing (yes sobbing)

"I am sad, I miss T-Rex" Sob Sob
Mom, He was a really good dinosaur!"

I let the fever run and she watched a lot of PBS online. She was pretty miserable. Puffy eyes and all. Later I rubbed lemon oil on her feet and it brought the fever down and our friend Cynthia came over and zoned her feet.
None the less after a good sleep she woke at 6:00 am this morning with much better energy.
Myself not so much.
