"It is our solemn duty, our precious privilege—even our sacred opportunity—to welcome to our homes and to our hearts the children who grace our lives."
, "Precious Children, a Gift from God," Ensign, June 2000Boman and I have been blessed with two beautiful babies. We yearn for more. We have learned that we can love other babies as we do our own. During these last few summers my home has been filled with loud laughter, dirty feet, occasional tears, forts, water fights and lots of love. I am thankful for each child on our block that has brought this to our home.
They are growing fast. Taylor is a FRESHMAN, Dalian is in his last year of middle school, Liam just was baptized and Chelsea starts preschool. Soon Bells will be right were they are.
So Bells and I planned a party. We made decoration, homemade pizza, apple cupcakes and gift bags with little loving reminders. The reminders were like a bag of tootsies rolls that said "remember to roll with the punches", NERDS that we broke down into 'never end your day scripture less" and many others. I should of included toothbrushes and toothpaste with all the junk I handed out.
Since they day was going to be hot we also filled 100 water balloons or more for a joyous out of control water fight. (This was my favorite part!)
I think it was a success.
Pretty much impossible to get them all with their eyes opened.
