Five

This was our conversation on our way out.

"On a scale of one to ten,  how excited are you?" Boman
" I would say a five" Me
"Yeah, this could go either way, huh!" Boman
The last camping trip we took was in Texas. It was a real struggle. It took us four hours to get there and it was a two hour trip! Many other fumbles followed. I was a bit hesitant on this one as I was going to fish with Boman. It has been 2 years since I have picked up a rod.  I am thankful to report even though we had a few hiccups  I would say our trip was a successful.

I have learned that I had been putting things off because I did not want to be the only one planning, packing, cleaning up and all that jazz. I thought it was better to be stubborn and not do it till the family helped out more. How foolish was I? I learned it is my role as a mother to create the opportunities for them. Or in other words facilitate them. mothers are often the ones doing the planning, cleaning, packing etc. But it is because moms do so that families have great experiences.

Bells drawing the nature she saw around her.

This rock formation is just amazing to me.

We used the South Fork camp site. We floated down the south fork for about an hour or more before settling in. It was so nice to have tents up, wood chopped and chairs awaiting us.

We found this little critter sleeping in the trash can.

Bells had fun with her flashlight in the tent.

My fish lost it color compared to Boman's. Mine is a brown trout. I am told that hard winters can cause them to loose color because of the extra work they have to do to survive. Boman caught a cutthroat. Nice color, huh.

Bells loves to fish. She wants to do it all on her own. Her fishing jacket was a gift from Mrs.B and Mr B. It came in handy to stuff entertainment and treats into the pockets.
Bells took about a 100 photos. Maybe we have a future photographer?

Taking photos is hard work! She soon crashed.

So here in the future I will make more of an effort to make these experiences happen, because this trip was a perfect 10!
